Course Goals:
  • To Develop a Working Knowledge of Instructional Technology Used in both the General Education and Special Education Setting
  • To Enhance Technical Skills and Knowledge of Web 2.0 Tools
  • To Develop a Database of Educational Resources Available on the Web
  • To Develop Electronic Presentation Skills
  • To Design and Publish a Blog and Wiki

Week 26/4 & 6/5
  • 6/4 -- Read the ISTE Standards (NETS-S /NETS-T) as well as the Framework for 21st Century Education
  • 6/5 -- Annotated Web 2.0 Resources (Post 5 with annotations on your blog) --- (use and the “nouns” in Chapter 7 of Prensky as starting points)
Week 3 6/11 & 6/14
  • Read Chapters 4, 5, & 6 in Prensky and Blog
  • Work on your Collaborative Lesson Plan / Presentation
  • continue to develop your blog and wikispace
Week 46/21
  • Read Chapter 8 in Prensky and Blog
  • Continue working on your lesson / presentation
  • Continue to develop your blog and wikispace
Week 56/25 & 6/26
  • Read Chapters 9 & 10 in Prensky and Blog
  • Complete all components of your wikispace and blog.
